Job Description

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for providing risk and compliance management to the business to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements. The Enterprise Risk Manager is responsible for the overall adherence of the risk management practices and that they are embedded in all business process to minimize losses from operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Draws up the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) plans from the analysis of business objectives.

· Designs and drive the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Policies, Processes and Procedures for as per the ERM Strategy Framework.

· Ensures adequacy of existing internal controls and risk management framework.

· Coordinate preparation and submission of all compliance returns within the regulated timeframes.

· Performs Compliance Risk assessments for business units and group companies, manage and execute the annual Compliance program.

·Ensure prompt reporting of risk exposure or positions to the relevant stakeholders and provides advice through recommendations.

· Leads and conducts Risk Assessments on new Products and Services and aligns responses to Policy.

· Provides anti-money laundering strategies and controls for the financial services companies.

· Liaises with Risk Officers, External Auditors, and regulatory personnel in the review, evaluation and management of existing and emerging risks.

· Reviews and consolidate and submits quarterly and monthly operations reports.

· Participates in budget formulation for the business unit.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree (Risk & Insurance/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Information Systems/ Actuarial) or equivalent from a recognised institution.

· Professional Graduate Qualification e.g. MBA will be an added advantage.

· 5 to 6 years’ experience in a similar or related environment
