Job Description

Job purpose

The Talent Officer supports the company’s talent agenda, ensuring the attraction, acquisition, integration, development, and retention of high-performing talent aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives. The role also assists with Organisation Development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the development and deployment of robust talent planning tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic talent requirements.

· Support talent mapping initiatives to identify current and future talent needs, enabling proactive talent management.

· Support the recruitment process and ensure compliance with established processes and timelines.

· Coordinate induction and orientation training for all new staff members in line with the company’s onboarding framework.

· Generate the onboarding report for the People and Culture leadership and recommend outcomes.

· Facilitate the implementation and monitoring of performance management cycles to foster a high-performance culture.

· Develop and recommend performance management reporting tools to enable data-driven performance management.

· Facilitate talent development programs in accordance with the identified talent needs to meet business evolving needs.

· Champions the graduate trainees and students on attachment programmes in accordance with the competency guides.

· Consolidate and report on the development programs outcomes for leadership as required.

· Assist in the succession planning process and monitoring of action plan implementation.

· Supports the implementation of organisational development programs and change management initiatives.

· Ensure the implementation of strategic People and Culture change projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

· Coordinate and support OE interventions including organisational culture and climate initiatives, process automation projects, and employer branding activities.

· Assist in the monitoring and resolution of queries related to the People and Culture Information Management System (HRIMS), ensuring data integrity and process automation.

· Liaise regularly with People and Culture Business Partners, People and Culture Officers, and L&D Manager to ensure consistency and cohesion in People and Culture service delivery across all departments.

· Act as a point of contact for employees regarding talent-related queries, providing accurate information and timely resolution.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related social science degree. A relevant postgraduate qualification or HR certification (e.g., IPMZ, CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.

· 2- 4 years of progressive HR or talent management experience, preferably within digital services, technology, telco, enterprise solutions, AI environments.
